Around four fifths of consumers are satisfied with the Home Information Pack (HIP) according to research by Ipsos MORI into the HIP area trials in eight UK areas.
Seventy two per cent of sellers were satisfied with the HIP; 79% agreed that it contained everything expected; and 81% understood the documents, including their energy rating, from A-G, in the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). A third of home buyers said they planned to follow the EPC energy efficiency recommendations. |
