BRE has published a report called Complying with the Code for Sustainable Homes: Lessons learnt on the BRE Innovation Park, which it says contains practical lessons for housebuilders and developers.

The publication describes the lessons learnt by ecoTECH, Hanson, Stewart Milne Group and Kingspan Offsite, all of whom set out to build homes at the BRE Innovation Park to Code for Sustainable Homes standards shortly after the Code was published in 2006.

“Building to the Code brings many new challenges, but the buildings on the BRE Innovation Park show that it can be done, albeit with some refinements as volume increases” said author Christopher Gaze.

The report costs £28.75.
