The BREEAM Accredited Professional scheme has been launched to recognise the specialist skills needed for sustainability and environmental design.

Accredited professionals will provide design teams with expertise on built environment sustainability, design and assessment through scheduling, prioritisation and negotiation when designs are assessed for BREEAM ratings.

Up to two BREEAM credits will be available if a BREEAM AP is engaged at appropriate points in projects. The training consists of distance learning followed by a one-day training workshop and exam.
