Warm Front Scheme cools down
Categories for this story: UK Policy, Energy Efficiency, Funding/Grants

Funding for the Warm Front scheme is just over £1.1bn for the current three-year spending period to March 2011, DECC energy minister Gregory Barker told Conservative MP Andrew Stephenson.

He added: “This includes a cash provision of £345m for 2010-11. Funding for future years will be considered as part of the budget and spending review processes.”

The minister explained that the scheme continues to experience “very high levels of demand. In order to manage this demand within the available budget, insulation work is currently taking up to three months to complete and new or replacement heating systems up to six months to install.”
