Revisions have been made to the Lifetime Homes standard to encourage practicability and accessibility, to be applied to volume developments built to the Code for Sustainable Homes and to future public-funded housing.

Many of the revisions, which were consulted on between December 2009 and March 2010, are designed with access in mind, to enable residents to use homes throughout all stages of life and health.
