A public-private partnership is working on a £3m project to develop mass scale retrofitting technologies and processes.

The Energy Technologies Institute will spend two years looking into how refurbishment and retrofitting can benefit from industrialising the processes of design, supply and implementation, as well as looking at how to increase the efficiency of a property in the most cost-effective manner.

The consortium will be led by BRE and work alongside EDF Energy, Peabody, PRP, Total Flow, UCL and Wates.
