Grand Designs Live wants to identify up to ten of the best eco innovations, home products and green building designs from the Midlands.

Called Midlands Green Heroes, the competition follows on from Kevin’s Green Heroes, pioneered by Kevin McCloud and launched in London earlier this year.

Media 10, organisers of Grand Designs Live, are calling for product designers to submit innovative and inspirational product designs which can help solve environmental issues, as well as having the potential to be incorporated into new and existing homes, offices and factories to reduce impact on the environment and make a difference to home emissions.

Entries must be sent by Friday, September 10.

Grand Designs takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, October 8-10 and will be spread over six different sections, including Grand Village, Grand Build, Grand Interiors, Grand Kitchens, Grand Bathrooms and Grand Gardens.
