The Government is working with large energy companies to provide promotional Green Deal material, to help inform consumers of the options available to them, a minister has said in a written answer.
Gregory Barker, energy and climate change minister, told Matthew Offord that the Department had been working with energy companies to develop their role to collect Green Deal payments from customers and explore “the potential opportunities for them as Green Deal providers.”
Mr Barker added that the Government is working with energy companies to produce promotional material, which will help promote the Green Deal to their customers “at key trigger points, for example when moving into a new property or switching energy supplier.”
