The European Commission has announced a new series of measures aimed at further liberalisation of the energy markets. The Commission says the proposals “put consumer choice, fairer prices, cleaner energy and security of supply at the centre of its approach”.

The Third Energy Package promotes sustainability by stimulating energy efficiency and guaranteeing that even smaller companies,have access to the energy market.
