is backing R&D into more energy efficient lighting, lasers, high brightness LEDs (Light-Emitting Diodes)and displays with a new £10 million investment programme opened up for competition just before Christmas.
TheTSB investment is aimed at encouraging UK companies to carry out innovative R&D in these areas, and will bolster winning projects through a funding competition, which will involve businesses working collaboratively with other businesses and/or with research organisations and academic institutions.
